Microdermabrasion uses fine particles of aluminum oxide to remove dead layers of cells from the skin. It stimulate the production of new collagen and cells in the deeper layers of the skin. The micro crystals cause a gentle exfoliation of the skin to remove the dead skin cells.

There is no healing time and results are visible immediately. However, a course of treatments is often recommended to achieve maximum effects. Treatments are administered over approximately five sessions, usually at an interval of between one to two weeks.
